The DODOcase is an iPad case of unmatched style and quality, handmade in San Francisco, CA, USA. The DODOcase philosophy is simple - to keep alive traditional bookbinding techniques by adapting them to a world of e-readers, tablet technologies and iPad.
The DODOcase is built by a master bookbinder using the same fabric and board construction that book binders have used for generations. The interior is made of book linen with a Bamboo tray - bamboo is a lightweight, strong and eco-friendly material which looks damn good! The exterior is made of black Moroccan Cloth (leather-effect) and has a rounded corners design with an elastic strap to keep the cover closed fast.
The case can be folded into 'Perch' mode for watching videos and 'Typing mode' for an ergonomic angle - the same as a conventional apple keyboard The Bamboo tray allows full access to all ports and buttons without having to remove the iPad2 but the design also allows for easy in and easy out - to use the new rear facing camera feature
With the functionality that comes from the familiarity of a book, the DODOcase for iPad2 will keep your iPad2 looking sharp and is described as 'the Rolls Royce of iPad Cases'. By preserving handmade quality and book binding techniques, the DODOcase proudly Protects From Extinction!
DODOcase is the 2010 Macworld USA iPad case of the year.
